Stuff and things.

So lets see.

First thing: If any of you have not seen Kung Fu hustle, do so as soon as you can. I watched it over at James' house this past Friday, and it was DAMNED funny. Most of the room was cracking up laughing at a good chunk of the movie.

Next: I'm boggled by this. My 160GB Hitachi Deskstar HDD is having a bizarre problem. When you access certain spots of the hdd (has been occupied by different things, one after the other is deleted), it errors out silently (you can see it in the system logs) and kicks itself to PIO mode, which then slows down ALL access to that drive. Its only certain spots, as most things from that drive run fine. So, in order to kick it back up from PIO mode, you have to reinstall the IDE channel. I ran a Hitachi diagnostic tool with no errors, and tonight I'm going to be running HDD Regenerator to see if it detects any bad sectors which may cause it. We'll see... here's to hoping I can find the cause so I can get out of this PIO trap.

Finally: I had the oddest dream last night. Its pretty rare for me to remember dreams so clearly, and its even rarer to have it of people I know. Last night, I had a dream about an ex of mine from awhile ago (a good 5+ years, possibly). I won't get into the details, lets just say it had a lot of happy flirting and teasing, with a bummer of an ending. Its dreams like these that make me wish I could read into dreams for meanings and the like. Meh, all well.

Also, I've been poking around at colleges to transfer to from CCC, and went to ITT this past Wednesday. They're extremely helpful, even the career department is willing to help with you every inch of the way. They've got really nice facilities, and if you pay a little extra, you get a laptop to boot. The kicker? The college costs $386 per college CREDIT HOUR, not per class, CREDIT HOUR. Each class is 4 credit hours. Thats a good ~$1500 a class, at 3 classes a term, thats a hefty cost. Books are part of the tuition, but thats still such a hefty fee, especially since you're not staying on campus. Sigh, I don't think that'll work.

All well, till next time.
