Wow. Been ages since I last made use of a Live Journal Account... feels kind of wierd expecially considering how I've been using a pair of old fashioned blank writing journals for the same effect. But with recent and upcomming events, perhaps it's time to send out some feelers and see if anyone is still listening.
Where to begin though?
Well, with the biggest I suppose - I've gone off and joined the US Navy.

Yes, I've already sworn in.
When do I head to Boot Camp? September 11th, 2006. Whee.
Other news? I'm scrambling to get a few CLEP Tests done in time and on my transcripts so I go into the service as an E-3 (Seaman) rather than an E-2 (Seaman Apprentice). What does that mean? Difference of close to $500 a month in pay. Aside from that... I won't be the bottom of the totem-pole right out of boot. Being enlisted isn't bad... being enlisted as an E-1 (Seaman Recruit) is really bad. You're everyone's Towel Boy then! ;P
With luck, by the time I'm out of my A and C schools, I'll be an E-4 or higher. We'll see how my meeting with my Recruiter goes later this week.
As for what I'll be doing in the service. No idea. Literally. I've been given a rough description of the job in question, but beyond that -- nada. Rather scary in one regard... but in another, it's kinda exciting. Truely going into the unknown, and whatnot.
Aside from that... Uh... I've moved out of my parent's house. >_>; Yeah I know I'm 22 and what not and it's about bloody time. Ah well. Kinda wierd and I'm discovering all sorts of things that I'd taken for granted before... but It's liberating. I'm kicking myself I didn't do it sooner.
Oh - and does anyone know anything about caring for fish by chance? >_>; I seem to be good at - uh - /COOKING/ those I have in the tank. -.-; Seems 89*F is a wee bit much -- causes Fish and Frogs to do the back stroke. Oi. x_x; Still have the Molly's though. c_C; Can't seem to kill them. XD
