This is my two hundred eleventh entry.

So thanks to Kristin I've been looking at this Overheard in New York thing. There's a good bit of lame stuff on there, but some of them are priceless comedic gold. Like the following.

Yuppie guy on cell collides with hipster guy pretty hard.

Hipster guy: Hey, asshole!
Yuppie guy: Watch it.
Hipster guy: I hope you have to watch your fuckin' children die!
Hipster girl: Honey, you really have to stop saying that to
people.

Anyway, make sure to check out yesterday's Hutch University for the Narnia Lame Joke Day. Clicky the link for events of the weekend.

Also, a thing of major import, Jenn and I got our matching rings on Sunday. Yay love!

Friday. Home to see Harry Potter and watch my sister while my parents went to my dad's company Christmas party. I enjoyed the movie a good bit. Having read the books, it's hard to not make the comparison, but I try not to let the changes ruin my enjoyment of the movie. THings that work on paper do not always work on film. Plus, the book is something like 743 pages. To try and fit all of that into a less than three hour long movie would be absolutely insane. To the point, the Dursleys are not even included. I can't recall what happened to Harry at his Uncle's house for this book though. Hermione blackmailing Rita Skeeter was also removed, which I kinda missed. She seemed excessively bitchy in the movie, and it would have been nice to see her given what for. A tiny bit disappointed by Voldemort. The appearance, I don't know, it's just not what I had seen in my mind. He reminds me a bit too much of just some random demon on Buffy. And considering how well done all the other effects/costumes are in the movie, this is a let down. But all in all, very good. I can, however, see how some people would call it rushed. There's lots of big action, not so much bits with the characters. One thing, while it clocks in at 2.5 hours, it did not seem anywhere near that long while watching it. Sign of a good movie, I guess.

Saturday. Mailed back my incorrect item to DeepDiscountDVD and spread piracy by sending a CBR buddy a copy of Photoshop CS2. I hope that Firefly arrives soon. I wonder how much time I should give it before I follow up on the matter? I figure, I should see something back to me by Christmas. If not, I'll follow up after the holiday. Went to my grandpop's Christmas party. Introduced Jenn to a bunch of people. Got my cousin's cell phone number so I can congratulate him on his wedding that I just found out about like 2 weeks ago, yet apparently was announced back in June or July. My grandpop likes giving out stuff. Back to the city for shopping. I got a bracelet at Gamestop when I renewed my Game Informer subscription. It's one of those rubber ones like people get for the diseases. Mine is black, and has an NES controller on it, and says PLAYER. Heh. I'm such a total geek. I was going to go to the Triangle staff dinner, but decided against it. Jenn and I went to Red Lobster instead. Unfortunately, I did not have coupons, cutie pie. THeir Cheddar Biscuits are damn delectable. Seriously, you could fill up on them and a few appetizers and be golden. The regular food was tasty as well. Back to Jenn's place to relax for a bit before going out to a gothy club. Vodka and cran is still as delicious as ever. I found it funny that I was wearing my orange hat. It was almost the only splash of color in the place. Sleep.

Sunday. Wonderful time waking up. Reading comics. Off to see Narnia. Much love for this movie. My eyes got all misty when the credits came onscreen. I may or may not have gotten a bit choked up when the kids are given their gifts. The effects are absolutely amazing. I loved how they used actual animals (I know they were CGI, I mean in terms of size) as opposed to people sized animals like in that horrendous BBC version. The Beavers were delightful. They had a freaking Phoenix! Battles were nicely done. The White Witch's eyes are hella creepy. She was quite badass in her fight scenes. Excellent choice for Aslan's voice in Liam Neeson. Just a really fantastic film. As I said, it is pure joy and wonder and goodness and awesomeness. Rings afterward. I will take a digital photograph later tonight and post that so they can be seen. Picked up Kristin and back to Philly for Simpsons and such. Watched Love Actually. A fun movie. Definitely one of those feel good films. It was quite good. Pretty funny too. Back to Jenn's to spend the night.

Monday. Actually did stuff at work. It looks like this next phase of the moving project is good to go. Hutch University after work. Narnia Lame Joke Day, as mentioned above. DD was done up as King Peter and Dog went as Aslan. I need to come up with something for Friday's comic. Hangoing out with Jenn. Watched Rudolph. Heh. Well we tried to anyway. Watched Boondocks. I got shot! We coulda had something together! Oblongs and ice cream and sleepy sleep.

Today. Boss is out. He's up at corporate. He was supposed to be back after lunch, but it's just about 4 now, and he's still not here. Whatever. I did have some stuff to do. I should have watched my other episode of Veronica Mars, though. The rest of the day I think I will be scripting Hutch U. I don't have anything to do here.

Plan for the evening. Friday's Hutch U. Make a Hutch U Christmas Card for my CBR Secret Santa so I can mail out the package on the morrow. SMRZNP work until Jenn gets home. Perhaps an episode of Cowboy Bebop. Once Jenn gets back, dinner and stuff. Perhaps watch some more Arrested Development? We'll see.

Plans for the rest of the week. Tomorrow night is going back to Jersey. I need to pick up the rest of my laundry that was accidentally left at home. Purchase comics for the week. Then it will be off for Christmas shopping and then back to Philly. Thursday, nothing specific planned, probably watch the Flyers game and do comic stuff. Friday, comic stuff and then dancing at Sex Dwarf with my wonderfully wonderful girlfriend Jenn. Probably comic stuff on Saturday, then Reese's party in the evening. Sunday, stuff and whatnot, FOX Sunday night programming, Boondocks, laundry. Then things will start all over again.

Randomness, I think I need to get a haircut. I am starting to get rather shaggy. Do I go for just a trim, or my traditional "fingerlength on top, #2 on the sides"? Decisions, decisions.
