Also, finally, finally got around to baking the second ridgeback uglyface sculpture I made (yes Emily and Danny, he got a momma). On the plus side, I was right and it does stand on its own now that the legs are hard (it wouldn't before, because they were too slender). However, one of the ears was broken during baking, as I had to balance the sculpture on a tin foil ball on its side, and at one point it slipped off, landing on the ear. I don't think it's too noticeable though, especially once I paint the thing. But, eh, overall I'm less thrilled with this critter than I was with the other ones I've made this summer so it'll probably take another couple of weeks before I get around to painting.
