TM 232: Unkind

May 23, 2008 20:12

Is there a situation where it's appropriate to be unkind? This is an odd question for me to answer, because I'm a rather notorious 'nice girl.' I can't seem to do anything to shake that reputation, despite the fact that I know full well a good number of you out there think of me as a total bitch. A few of you are honest enough to say it to my face ( Read more... )

Pejorative just means 'negative.' Sorry. The last person I had a serious conversation with was Hank.

But seriously, I know you're not one of the people who feels that way, but it's nice to have it affirmed. It's not a big deal, though. What I'm basically getting at is that there's no point in being kind to people who have proved they don't want it or deserve it.

Dr. McCoy has an impressive vocabulary.

Yeah. I'm kinda learning that I guess. Like no point in putting in all the energy to be kind to people who are just continuously mean to you and stuff. Makes sense.

Exactly. That's what I've been trying to tell Lorna.

Good! They'd better not be.

How's your summer going?

My summer is amazing! Or well, kinda. I love my internship! I'm making new friends.

John isn't dead but is dying and I told him I won't be seeing him...which I feel bad about but like, I don't think I could handle watching someone else die.

Lorna is so gonna stay in LA forever, I just know it. But Mr. Hellrung seems like a nice guy so...yeah.

Friends are good! Did I see that you've been spending time with the other Sally?

I think Lorna should do whatever she wants, and stop worrying what other people think. If she's happy with Henry, good for her.

And I'm very sorry about your friend, but -- I think you're making the right choice assuming you're telling the truth and not what you think I want to hear.

I am yes! I'm going to show her around NYC on Sunday! She really wants to see the UN so we're gonna go there for a tour. And get pretzels. And maybe head over to the zoo.

That is like totally easier said than done, Ms. Grey, cause she's like ALWAYS worrying.

We already mourned him, I can't do it again.

Oh, good, Sally's always loved the UN. Since she was a little kid.

Lorna wouldn't be Lorna if she wasn't worrying.

And . . .yeah, no one can tell you how to deal with that kind of thing. I AM sorry, though. It seems like he was working hard to change, even if his methods were kind of iffy.

You knew her when she was a little kid? ...huh?!?!

Very very true. Then we'd know she was like pod!Lorna.

Well, plenty of people try to tell how you should react but I'm tired of listening. So I stopped.

He was an idiot and joined Freedom Force.

Yeah, you know, from that whole weird everybody's gay-verse, where Bea and Sally and Lorna's Katie all came from because Wanda invented them.

PS

Umm, possibly I wasn't supposed to mention that.

You can pretend I never said anything, right?

Stop. Go back. Explain. Though...Wanda is involved so...there might not be much of an explanation...
