*OOC -- Open to anybody who wants to talk to or see Jean; finally caught up post-house of TM. Jean is in Paris for a week in play time, before heading to the moon, but it will probably take a bit longer than that to play out, so no hurry. Email to: Everybody in the Address book ( Read more... )

Jeannie! Oh, how I've missed you! In fact, I think I've even started to dream about you - we were at some sort of Avengers gala in the dream, so I'm not quite sure why you would even be there, except as a subconscious reminder of how much I regret the time that's passed since we last spoke.

I would love to come to Paris for a day to see you, but I've been taking on extra responsibilities recently at our beloved alma mater and I'm not sure I'll be able to find the time. These children are quite a paw-ful. If I do find a spare moment, however, I would love to treat you to lunch at one of my favorite Parisian cafes.

In the meantime, do tell me how you've been!

Hey. You know, I've been fine.

Wanda used me and pretty much raped my mind and then I used her back and the Phoenix invaded me and now I can't get rid of it and it's hurting Rachel too, but I think I've figured out how to fix things, and all I have to do is go to the moon and kill myself. Again.

Also, Cable apparently has a kid. I met her in another reality but I sort of tried to ignore her because I thought she was Logan's.

I don't think I'm going to make it back to the school this week but. . .give me a call or something?

I'm glad to hear that. Though, as far as enthusiastic responses go, that one would receive a fairly low score. I hope you're telling the truth.

I will certainly send a ring in your direction at some point this week. I would never expect you to return to the school when you've just settled into Paris again. Expect to experience my bubbling verbosity through your telephone earpiece within the next few days.

So, I finally have an email of my own now and can reply to you. What the hell is going on? I know you wanted Lorna to be a part of X-Corp, and I really didn't have much else to do but follow her, but, what is going on?

We'll be in Paris. I was told I had to go by my girlfriend. And I guess Scotty and Emma are coming, too, so we'll see you soon.

I guess Paris it is.

You realize the more often you mention wanting to talk to people, the more I start to suspect that you need to talk to people.

We're amost on the ground. Let me know the time and place, and I'll be there.

Scott.

Yeah, I guess I do need that. I need to say a lot of things to a lot of people. I screwed some things up, but it's well . . .
there's news about Rachel. It's mostly good news. There's some bad news mixed in but -- relatively speaking, it's not all that important.

See you soon.

Mystique sauntered into the X-Corps building and sneered at the receptionist. "I'm here to see, Miss Grey. The older one."

She didn't bother changing her appearance and tapped her foot impatiently, waiting for Jean to show.

The receptionist was fairly confused. Wasn't Mystique evil? But she had been an X-man for a while there. Basically, there was no point in arguing with someone who might kill her, when Ms. Grey could deal with it.

Jean got the call and came down to meet Raven in the lobby. She didn't know why she bothered to check her makeup first.

There was the infuriating woman, tapping her feet as though Jean were somehow inconveniencing her. "Rogue's not here," Jean said, bluntly. "Go away."

"Of course she isn't." Mystique waved her hand, dismissing that conversation. "I did not come to see her."

Smiling slowly, she leaned against the counter. "How is my best friend?"

Jean raises an eyebrow. She doesn't feel like being messed with.

"Shouldn't you be doing something evil?"
