Bake Sale: Now - Jan 31st

Dec 08, 2009 11:33

In their last podcast Paul and Storm let slip that they and, I assume, Jonathan Coulton would be doing shows in Los Angeles and San Diego sometime early next year. I usually make a habit of going to their Southern California shows. It's a great chance for me to see a fantastic concert with friends that I get to see maybe once or twice a year. Since I've been out of work for the past few months, I can't afford to make it to this latest round of shows.

But am I letting this stop me? No! I'm having a bake sale. So if you'd like to support my concert going, please take a look at what I have to offer, tell other folks about my sale, or just maybe buy something.

Baked Goods:
These are a few of my favorite goodies to bring to a concert and share in line and with the performers, so they immediately sprang to mind as the perfect offering for a sale to raise funds for concert tickets. I'll be doing the baking in two batches. The first will be for orders placed by Dec. 12th, and it will ship on Dec. 14th (just in time for the holidays!). The second will take place after the sale closes and will ship on the 3rd or 4th of February.

Irish Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies (with or without walnuts) - $15/dozen

Bacon, Pomegranate, Apple, or Plain Caramels - $10/ 20pcs

Plushes:
These little dudes will be lovingly hand crafted by me in the order in which they are ordered. They take a little time to make so it will probably be 2 to 3 weeks between order and shipping. I'm sorry to say that means they won't get to you in time for the holidays.

Knit Cephalopods - $30 each, 3 Squid and 3 Octopus still available
Even before I heard wonderful songs like I Crush Everything and Octopus, I had a healthy love of cephalopods. These little knit guys are just one more incarnation of that love. I'll be happy to work with you on any color combination you would like, or you can leave it up to my crazy imagination and the mysterious depths of my yarn stash.

Ragdoll Office Zombies - $30 each, 5 available
I first came up with this design in order to smuggle an audio recorder into a venue with a strict no recording policy. The show recording may not have come out the best, but the zombie was a big hit with the crowd. The one I'd be making for you wouldn't have the gaping chest wound that I used for smuggling, but it will have all the other great little detailing like embroidered blood, exposed yarn brain, and office friendly attire.

Ordering Details:
To place an order email me at dancinlikeamonkey@noisegoth.com with “Bake Sale” in the subject line. In the body of the email let me know how much of everything you'd like and in what flavors and colors. Also please let me know if you live outside of the US. And finally let me know if your Paypal email address is different than the one you are using. (In order to protect us both Paypal is the only form of payment I'll be accepting.) I'll send you an invoice as soon as I receive your email, and begin work on your order right away after payment. Shipping will be USPS First Class at a flat rate of $5 for domestic orders and $10 for international (plushes only. Unfortunately baked goods and overseas shipping don't mix.).

Thanks for taking the time to look and for supporting my fangirlish craziness!
