Nooooo :(
I finally got Mordz to get off his lazy butt and install his 160G drive.
(We both got one at the same time and I'd already installed mine and ghosted my old drive to the new.)
Anyway, all went well, just like with mine...
And this morning....
I turned on my PC. Headed to the kitchen in the mean time to do whatever.
I came back and heard this horrible clicking sound :(
I knew that sound :(
I had a bluescreen, it already surprised me that it even got that far.
And the clicking continued :/
when I turned it off and deconnected it I put my ear close and jiggled the drive a bit.
Kinda sounded like one of those 80's scratch tunes. Grinding my teeth while listening the reader carve into my data I decided to spare myself more of that. I put the drive aside, rummaged through my desk drawer a bit, found my old drive and put that one back in.
The beauty of ghost is that it's still the same environment so I didn't have to do anything but replace the drive and turn it on, but unfortunately any new files be it art or e-mail I've lost.
Except for the art I've uploaded to DA, SA and my website.
Oh well. off to send in a RMA request to Maxtor.
Hoping Mord's drive 'll hold out longer than mine.
