4/11/2006 Dream Journal

So, it's unusual enough that I've had two dreams in my memory after waking, in as many weeks.

This dream starts with me and a few random sim-friends (people who you recognize as being friends in the context of your dream, but don't bear so much as a resemblance to actual friends, current or past), planning to do some BASE-jumping, in front of a class of high schoolers, only we realize once we are at the location, that it isn't high enough for the parachute to properly open. So, we abandon that idea.

We end up at some place resembling Dave & Buster's--you know, the kind of place with billiards, a video arcade, and a bar with large televisions, among other things. I somehow wind up playing some generic racing game, cheered on and laughed at by friends and strangers alike. I remember, um, exploring the damage physics more than actually racing.

The evening is wearing on, and people are starting to think about heading for home, when the power goes out. Through the weak, feeble glow of the emergency lights we can see people passing by--people with faces covered, and carrying guns. Somehow, I become the leader of my band of friends, trying to find our way through the suddenly labyrinthine structure to the supposed safety of outside. I woke up somewhere in the middle of this section, having avoided, barely, two sets of these faceless presumed killers.
