[When Grune heard that unfamiliar voice over the journals, she had thought it was a New Feather, and so she was all set to give them a nice, warm welcome.

...But then Ginia gave her name, and, well. It's extremely rare for Grune to be surprised by anything, but if something could do it, it would probably be her silent friend talking.]

I'll come get you, Ginia! Where are you?

[Grune, she doesn't know. And she already gave all the details she could.]

[If there's a voice Ginia can recognize right off the bat, it's definitely Grune. She can't help but smile.]

Hello, Grune. Thank you, but I'll be okay. Archie is on his way to get me. B-but we can still talk!

Are you sure? [She certainly doesn't mind. Since, you know, she doesn't mind anything.]

[Normally Ginia wouldn't mind Grune's company, even in all her wandering ways, but this time, when the absent-mindedly sighted is leading the blind? No, Ginia will patiently wait for Archie.]

Yes, Grune, I'm sure. Don't worry, I'm... enjoying the evening air.

[And time to distracted Grune from the present subject.] How are you today?

I'm doing all right. I'm afraid I was busy and didn't see most of the day, but I'm sure it was nice.

It'll be December soon. And, um, Christmas toward the end of the month.

Oh, yes, that's right. [She had forgotten all about Christmas. That's another nice new holiday.] What are you going to do for Christmas, Ginia?

I'm not sure. I definitely want to get presents for all my friends. Maybe throw a party? I-I have to give it some more thought.

Baking together would be so much fun! I wonder what we should make.

Gingerbread cookies are traditional. I always make frosted sugar cookies too. And peppermint candy.

I like cooking around this time of year. It's a good opportunity to make lots of sweets. Nice presents too.

Yes, everyone would be happy to get sweets for a present!

[Except Dhaos, but he doesn't count.]

I-I buy my friends other things too, but a box of homemade chocolate seems like a nice thing to give. Or peppermint drops.

H-hopefully I can d-do that this year.
