[Grune is out on one of her usual rambles when she spots Alice making her painful way back to the village. Seeing the poor condition she's in, she blinks, then hurries over.]

Oh, my, are you all right?

[Alice glances over at the tall and very attractive woman, managing a weak smile and a nod. It's obvious she's not okay, but Alice is still stubborn enough to attempt to trudge on, stumbling a bit in the process.

Alice also decides if she turns out to be a friend or acquaintance of Ginia, then it's official; Ginia is surrounded by some of the most attractive people ever.]

[She doesn't look all right. She looks hurt. And so Grune closes the remaining distance between them, intending to slip an arm around her to help her walk.]

Here. I'll help.

[Alice quickly shies away. Even with the best of intentions in mind, Alice doesn't want to be touched by anyone. She quickly shakes her head, a feral look in her eyes.]

[Grune gives her a confused look. She doesn't see Alice's feralness, but the sharp movement away is hard to miss.]

Don't you want help?

[The obvious answer is yes. Alice knows it, knows she won't get too far without any assistance. She doesn't even know exactly where Ginia's apartment is, just the vague area.

But the need for self-preservation, out fear of being hurt again, makes Alice shy. Wounded animals do just find licking their wounds in a safe corner of the woods. She'll be fine.

Never mind the fact many other animals die of injuries that could have been easily treated.

Never mind the fact when Alice tries to stumble away, she nearly falls into the woods for the umpteenth time.

Some intervention may be needed.]

[There's no way Grune is going to leave someone alone in that poor of condition.

She steps forward and manages to catch Alice before she falls.]

You can lean on me. It's all right. Let's go find someone who can make you feel all better.

[Maybe Norma to heal her. They should go look for her.]

[...All right, fine. Alice still looks at Grune a little warily, but some help back to town is appreciated. With one big toe, she digs at the down, slowly scuffing out four symbols onto the ground.]

CH7?

[Grune slips a steadying but careful arm around her waist. She studies the writing for a moment, confused, and then her expression lightens.]

Oh, is that where you live?

[Alice nods in agreement, scuffing out a few more lopsided letters.]

[Grune picks up on this a little faster than before; once she has, she looks at Alice and nods.]

All right. Don't worry. I'll make sure you get there safe and sound.

[There's a bare smile from the woman. She's thankful, really, but it's never been something she'd been able to express. Actually, it's something she's never had to express before.

All the letters are erased with the bottom of her foot, giving her a smooth surface to write on again.]

Alice

[…Now she's really confused.]

Alice? Is that the name of your friend?

[There are some conversations that probably aren't best through scribblings in the dirt and this is likely one of them, but Alice tries to give the short version anyway.]

Ginia + Alice = 1 person

[She gives Alice a quizzical look.]

Are you and Ginia sharing?

[It's really kind of the gist of the situation. Alice nods at that. Details can come later.]
