Conflicts
And, of course, when I finally get my job, on the same day I'm supposed to bring in the paperwork and official acceptance, I also get an acceptance e-mail for volunteering in Namibia. I wish I'd given in sooner and volunteered much earlier. Like, exactly a month. What are the odds that after trying and failing to get a job for a year, I finally get one at the one time I wouldn't mind not getting one?
There's a possibility I can ask to see if the job is willing to let me start April instead of now, but I'm kind of worried if that's a good idea. After all that work, I don't want to compromise the job, but at the same time... I mean, cheetahs. And I'm so close to making this dream work. Maybe I'll mention this to HR and see what they say about the possibility.
