Beautiful, gorgeous. The first Kronos scene - wow, not that the rest weren't. What a beautiful pair they are.

Thank you. I adore Methos and Kronos, and Kronos is the only one I could really see with Methos, especially since Methos categorically stated that he doesn't do Immortal relationships. The whole Methos/Duncan thing just creeps me out.

I'm pretty much a K/M shipper myself, although I'm not big on OTP's... Poor doomed relationship.

I don't really have an OTP for Methos. It's just that I don't see him with any other Immortal but Kronos. Of mortals, however, he can have his pick from pretty much any fandom. I have a soft spot for Methos/Alex Krycek. Although, come to think of it, he's practically a mortal Kronos. Damn.

This was just wonderful.

Hate to be nitpicky, but hk3w is the plural rather than the singular.
Interesting interpretation of the meaning of s3, can I ask where you got it from?

Thanks.

Nitpick away, it's always helpful. My encyclopedia stated that it was singular, but you might be right. Do you have another source where I could find the information?

Again, I got the info from my encyclopedia, and as stated, applied liberal artistic license. My book states, "Another important man was the Sau. It is uncertain exactly what he did, but the word sa is the word for both 'protection' and 'amulet.' "

Of the Ancients, Egypt generally isn't where my interest lies, so I'm not terribly well read and I don't know how correct the information is.

The person who wrote the entry in your encyclopedia was probably using the participle form of the verb hk3 to create the noun 'one who performs magic', but there is a noun hk3 (or hk3y) meaning 'hk3-priest/magician', so I guess both are right really.

I'm actually an Egyptologist, so I referenced Hannig's Worterbuch, it's hard to find good general books on Egypt, especially the language. That is an impressively accurate encyclopedia though, I hadn't come across that meaning of s3w before so I did a bit of digging for myself and I found it in Gardiner's Egyptian Grammar meaning 'a guard or protector'.

So just ignore me, cos you're doing just fine on your own. *g*
BTW, the UCL page www.digitalegypt.ucl.ac.uk is an excellent source for all things Egyptological.

Considering the rather casual attitude I take towards things I include in fic, I'm glad that it's passable to someone who actually knows what they're talking about. And that my encyclopedia is actually a useful source since the mythology book by the same publisher leaves a lot to be desired.

The site looks awesome and will definitely be of some use, though it's a little embarrassing to find that I view it all through a Stargate filter.

this was a very powerful piece, and it really reaches and at the same time seems to deconstruct and reconstruct both or Kronos and Methos selves along whith their relationship

If there's anything about Highlander that frustrates me, it's that they killed off Kronos after two episodes. I love exploring the dynamic between him and Methos.

they could have done at least a few more flashbacks all of the horsemen had to be extraordinary people to survive for 3,000 years, no matter what condition they were in when nM&K visited them...

Apparently, there were financial reasons why they didn't do more Horsemen flashbacks. Recreating the Bronze Age is apparently quite expensive. Who'd have guessed.
