Access to clean drinking water for everyone.
seriously - this would be such an important change for the world. At a very basic level this is so important, this is a human right. Everyone should be able to access clean water. In another way this would be important because to have clean water for all you would need to have so many other changes that it would mean a substantial shift in world economics. You need to have adequate infrastructures around the world to support clean water - wells, or pipes, or regulations to control pollution. You need to have changes in agricultural policy, government funding, power to local politics. Clean water is a social justice issue and as such it is tied in with bigger structural issues like poverty, monocropping, the IMF and world bank, neoliberalism, globalization...
So yeah, everyone, everywhere should have easy, affordable access to clean drinking water. It would change the world.
