Another writing exercise.

Special rule - start at the end and work back to the beginning.
Time limit - 10 minutes
Stupid computer. Why now?
I spent hours writing this story. And now it crashes just as I was saving the final draft. I don't want to start all over again. I have to though this is my big chance. A magazine sale.
I started at three this afternoon working on this story. It was the fourth day I'd been working on it. And I was ready to put the finishing touches on it. Then I could send it off in time to meet the deadline.
I'd received the response to my query letter just five days ago. I'd been trying so hard to sell a story, any story, to some magazine. And here at last was my big chance. my first sale.
I sent out query letters everyday over the last few months in hopes of getting something. Last week responses started trickling in. One rejection after another. Until this one. Now I had a chance to prove myself.
I'd finally started taking my writing seriously.
