I saw Coraline this afternoon. It was excellent, better than I expected. And I had very high expectations. But I noticed something.

Freaky yes, yet still it seems to fit. I'd read somewhere that TMBG were originally supposed to do the entire soundtrack for the movie. And that would have been an excellent thing.

Though as Real Father, in profile, I thought he bore a resemblance to Neil. Especially with the stubble and the crazy hair.

Good, then I'm not going insane. Well, no more than usual.

As for Real Father resembling Neil. KInda, now that you mention it. Neil's hair tends to be a bit longer though. But still crazy yes.

My brain said :"Self, I do NOT remember a mechanized mantis in tbe book.". Which made me realize how long it's been since I read it.
And it makes me think I need to get off my ass and get around to PCR's adaptation.
