The Future Is Here
Futurama that is.
Let me preface by saying that I am not a fan of the show. I'd seen a few episodes and liked them, just never got into it all that much. Can't even name most of the characters. So why in the name of Matt Groeing did I buy Futurama : Bender's Game?
Dungeons & Dragons. And Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, etc...
Did I like it? Yes, yes I did. Enough that I watched it twice yesterday. Far too many references for me to count. Some, like the Yellow Submarine and Mork & Mindy and Dragonlance, were quite unexpected. And it was dedicated to Gary Gygax.
On a side note, even with me being caught up in watching my DVD I was able to write a little over 1800 words on my novel. Altogether I'm about 550 words ahead right now. It's going much better than I expected this year.
There was also some kind of election or something going on yesterday. I don't follow politics much. So congratulations to the winners whoever they are.
