And lo, the songs resounded loudly through the journal of lives and verily the message was clear - SPEAK!
I dunno about your guys, but *I* was not expecting a response on this scale. My flist hasn't been this rockin' in YEARS! WHOO HOO! I'll try to keep up, but please be advised we just got a 30 day notice of intent to start working on the re-piping in my townhouse - just the start of the retrofit project in my 70+ unit complex - so we're in the middle of packing as if we're moving, except we're not.
At least we get to live out of boxes in our own house - cause man, actually having to really move SUCKS. And in the end, we'll have brand new pipes that aren't on the verge of exploding, brand new flooring (good riddance to 30 year old carpets!), new windows, new sliding glass doors, new kitchen cabinets, a new shower stall, and new siding on the outside. So I guess in a sense, it's not us who are moving - pieces of the house are. Heh!
Getting to know me:
So, I've been on LJ for over 13 years now, following the great BtVS migrations from the yahoo groups like BAPS and the Gutter to Live Journal. I've made a few 'about me' types posts over the years, and here they are, for the first time, all in one place!
Holy SHIT this is old! From 2003, The Official Shaddyr LJ Policy Wow. I totally forgot about that. heh. that was fun.
In this post from 2010, I wrote about My (sometimes fickle) love affair with Imaginary Characters... which was great fun.
This is more recent, from 2012 - my McShep match interview wherein were asked numerous questions about everything from favourite pizza topings and Ninja's vs Pirates down to what brought me into fandom in the first place. Very SGA and McShep centric, given the forum.
Just a few months ago, we did a "25 Things" meme thing at work to try and get to know everyone on our rather large and geographically diverse team. This one is the most general and least fandom specific (since it had to be work safe) but still covers my fannish geekery.
Short version for those who simply don't have the time:
Mom of adult kids; jewelry maker; cook and baker; paper crafter; singer and guitar player; feeder of cats (because cats don't have owners, they have STAFF), lover of Most Things Marvel; fan; filker; geek; keeper of spreadsheets; volunteer; hospitality maven; amateur beer aficionado; McShepper, Spuffy fan, and undecided about what NCIS pairing I ship; fanfic writer.
Eh. It's a start.
