RANDOM POST IS RANDOM
TRAVEL....
Hmm. I would really like to go to Victoria tomorrow and see pondside. Why the hell does everything have to cost money? Rawr. I think they should let me travel for free. There should be a "Shad is Queen for A Weekend" festival. Yis. I think this would be a Good Thing. Well, good for me. The rest of you are on your own.
CO-OPERATIVE LIVING (Some people in my co-op are morons)
We had our annual Co-op BBQ last weekend. The turnout was LAME. Trying to get people to participate is HARD. You would think for free food that someone else is cooking, there would be a great turn out. You would THINK.
Apparently, not so much.
It's so hit and miss - an activity I think will score big time will sometimes have a poor turn out, then another one that I think might only be mediocre scores hugely. I wish people would just COMMUNICATE TELEPATHICALLY AND STOP MAKING ME TRY TO GUESS. Just sayin'.
I think the availability of alcohol might play a factor in how willing people are to come out. So, I'm going to lobby for doing a wine tasting evening event and see how that goes. Maybe the dead head non-participators will come for the booze, get hosed, forget they don't like their neighbors and have such a good time they want to come our for the next event as well!
And the world could stop spinning on its axis and explode. O_o
WRITING
outsideth3box was complaining about being bored last night and demanded that I entertain her. At her prompting, I dug up an old story that I started writing three years ago and made her read it. So now she wants me to finish it. Cool thing, though, is she gave me some ideas around where I was stuck, which is what caused the story to languish there for the last three years in the first place.
MORE SGA FANAC
While digging through the external HD, I found a Stargate Atlantis crossword puzzle that I made about a year ago. I never posted it because I was having a hard time coming up with cryptic clues, especially for character names. Any *real* SGA fan will get them in a snap.
My original goal was that when I posted it, whoever figured it out first could have a fic with a prompt and pairing of their choice. But then I was afraid someone might make me write Radek/Caldwell with a prompt of daisies and unicorns. Or something. *looks suspiciously at Flist* You guys wouldn't make me do that, would you? WOULD YOU????
