My only story regarding a warranty is that for the last 5 years I've gotten calls from Ford to renew mine. I don't own a Ford or any other car. I stay on the line to get a real person. I push the buttons I'm supposed to and I never get off the call list. I even called to see if it was a scam and it isn't. The person that used to live in my house owned the car. They alway call when I'm in the shower. They won't STOP!!!!

Sorry, not helpful to you, but I feel better now.

I've had good luck with extended warranties on things with a lot of moving parts...vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, things like that. More than paid for the extended warranties. And I had a digital camera that went bad on me, we used it to upgrade without any arguments.

Sorry, I never buy warranties. I figure that if it lasts 2 years I have got my money's worth. If it breaks, then a new one costs less that the first one did coz the prices have gone down and the new models have better features.

I don't buy extended warranties. Electronics are outdated by new and better items before the warranties would take effect.

I find that very, very few things actually break down during that two or three years extended warranty - except, perhaps, microwaves, but they are so cheap that I'd just go to Tescos and buy a new one.

Anything that is accidental damage, rather than breakdown, is covered on my household insurance - so I just say 'No' if offered an extended warranty.
