Hey! Somebody bought me a $15 gift certificate for Live Journal for birthday! And Yahoo kindly bumped the notice to my spam filter. Nice. So, whoever you are, THANK YOU!!!
::big squeezy hugs::
And also! I got my first LJ Christmas card yesterday - from
vamprayne! Thank you!!
Hee!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Okay, not so much with the lack of snow and all that, which really is a good thing as far as I am concerned, and I suppose it's time to toss the jack-o-latern still sitting on the table in front of my house, even though it frozen and still looks good, and I haven't done even a spot of shopping or baking, but! Jazzy-girl has been wearing her santa hat to school every day since December 1st, the tree is up and I have a 2006 christmas card.
Holiday life is close to being complete.
And I managed to do 8 items out of 9 on my to-do list yesterday, which is a spectacular accomplishment for me.
Oh, and did I mention that I LOVE LOVE LOVE co-op living? When we did our budget for the co-op this year, the membership decided it was time to up the maintenence budget even though it meant we increased our housing charges slightly, and I just got a new fridge! 18 cubic feet, baby, and no more psycho thermostat that decides to freeze the lettuce and milk one day and let my sandwhich meat go bad the next. Brand. New. Had to peel the packing plastic off the crisper drawers. And I am getting a new stove in the next 6 months, and new countertops and sink and EVERYTHING. Yay!
I am never moving. Ever.
Oh yeah, I heard back from
hsifyppah. She and the in-laws and John will be coming by for a bit Saturday afternoon/evening. So, there will be music!
It's going to be a busy day - there is a co-op 'breakfast with Santa' for the kids that morning, then Girly Girl has a birthday party that afternoon. And one of the lovely things about teenagers? Jazzy Girl can go pick her up after it's all done. I might even give them some money to go shopping from Christmas prezzies if they want to. Then again, the mall on a pre-Christmas, December Saturday is likely to be a crazy-making place, so that might not actually be such a good idea. I'll taalk with them and see what they think.
I am going to try to finish cleaning the front room now. I promised the kids that if this stuff got done, we could bake cookies tonight. It's December 8th. I've usually got batches of cookies frozen by now.

Hmm. I have to take my meds. Which means I must eat, or they will come back to haunt me. *whines* But I'm not hungry...
And if that's my biggest problem today, I'm laughin'...
