the ending comes upon turning the page.

My friend Emily and her friend Ellen came to visit yesterday from Texas, and we had so much fun! I haven't gone out dancing in a really long time. I forgot how much I love to dance in public!! Jeremy met up with us later on and after a few drinks he became the center of the dance circle. Jeremy is not the best dancer, but he's definitely very entertaining. All in all it was a really fun night.

In other news my car has broken down, and I have been stuck at my apartment for days. It's too cold to ride my bike anywhere, and I really hate bumming rides from people, so it looks like I'm going to be watching a lot of movies and working out with Carmen Electra. Luckily I got some new weights and a kettle bell for Christmas. I just hate not being able to do much cardio. I really want to go running, but alas I'll have to wait. I have about 500 dance dvds so I'm just going to have to make the best of it. I think I'm going to do a detox. I want to eat nothing but raw fruits and veggies for at least a week, and maybe two (if I can survive). Yeah probably just one week. I did a week long detox last year, and I felt amazing. I hate the relationship I have with food. How can you love something so much and hate it at the same time? Ugh. Life.

The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold
American Gods - Neil Gaiman
Blankets - Craig Thompson
Breakfast of Champions - Kurt Vonnegut

These are some of the best books that I have read this year, and I highly recommend all of them to anyone who is looking for a good read.

Edit:  oh and these lyrics have been on my mind...
Oh, but no one can stare at the wall as good as you,
my baby doll,
And you're aces for coming along,
you're almost human, after all
And you're learning that just because they call themselves friends
doesn't mean they'll call
They made the comment in jest,
"But you've got the needle,
I guess that's the point of it all."
- Amanda Palmer (The Point of it All)
