WHO told Oliver Wood it was appropriate to wear a maid's uniform to work? I swear he was wearing it fifteen minutes ago, now he seems to be wearing something that looks like a half-eaten tartan ( Read more... )

Nice bike you got there, Mr. Shacklesir. Really a good mark on a persons character, a good bike. Please don't paw me again

I do not pick, Tonks--this is very serious--there are a few things I'd just like to make sure he's aware of! I DID promise he'd come through unharmed, didn't I?

considering the circumstances, Vinnie--you may call me Kingsley. And despite Tonk's worry, I promise I merely want to speak to you about a few things.

I've only just found out, Vinnie--and I suppose I'm still a little...shocked I guess would be the word. Tonks has been my partner for a very, very long time--and if she knew I was asking after he without having her consent....well you know the blood would fly.

I just need to know that in the aftermath of all of this, when she's trying to hide your children from the Ministry, that you'll be with her.

And I suppose, now that we're being candid, I must ask..do you love her? Do you plan on....well for lack of a better phrase, making an honest woman of her? You know she deserves as much...but there are those....who would take over the duty gladly.

Ah. Neither of us planned this, Kingsely. My consience wasn't a part of me, and I was the creature I've worked for years not to be. That being said, it was the best mistake I've ever made.

I love my children, Kinglsey, and it would be a very, very foolish person who put them or Tonks under any harm. As for being with her, she's my best friend, I'd walk through sunlight if it meant keeping her safe.

Of course I love her, but not in the way you think. I have a Mate, who I love with all of my unbeating heart. I.... I would have, if it ever came to it, I'd be lying if I said that wasn't one of the first thoughts that came to my head. But it wouldn't be right for either of us. Tonks deserves someone who will love her the way she deserves to be.

Is that a fact, Kingsley?

of course it wasn't planned, Vinnie--I know neither of you can be blamed for your actions during.....well it was a strange time. I suppose if there's a silver lining to it all, her children are yours, someone she loves as a friend, instead of much harsher alternatives.

....that's very good to know. As for me, well, let us just say there are few things in this world or the next that could halt me from assisting Tonks in anything. We have been friends a long time, and I suppose....that leads to.....

I need not spell it out, I trust. It is a fact, and whatever the outcome, I want what's best for her, what will make her happiest. I put up a gruff front, Vinnie, it's necessary--but I know you are a good and honorable vampire, and will help you where it's needed.

Yes, if someone else had done that, someone who'd have hurt her, abandoned her, I assue you he'd no longer be breathing.

I'm glad for that. She needs all the friends she can get. She gets so...distant sometimes, like she forgets people are out there who will look out for her.

No, you don't. And you should tell her. Really, you should. Heh, I try to be, but I appreciate that, Kingsley.

that's probably not wise--you know how she is sometimes....it would only stress her further. I am content to step aside and watch for when I am needed.

I'm leaving now for a few days' work--there are ways to contact me if I'm needed--please don't hesitate. I'm keeping an eye on the Ministry from the inside to make sure no one is suspicious, but...we can never be too careful. I should head out now, Moody's shouting something in Latin.

My god, you're an idiot. I can't say, but you should say something, eventually. Really. REAAAAAALLLY. See the point I'm making here? See the winking? ;)

Good luck with that. That Moody bloke is freaking crazy.

duly noted, Vinnie. Duly noted. The winking is quite effective, I assure you.

all in a day's work, hopefully he doesn't give me the "Constant Vigilance and Ways to Keep From Getting Eaten Whilst Brushing Your Teeth" speech again.

see you another time.
