best Azkaban story rissabby November 28 2005, 17:07:17 UTC
This is the best Sirius in Azkaban story I have ever read. I love his confusion, and how hard he's trying to keep something.

The songs work so well; parts of them I seem to know and parts are only Sirius. I can see it as a desperate strategy of a very intelligent person to keep some sort of sense going when everyone has gone mad. We know that song and lyric memory exist in a different part of the brain than regular spoken language and episodic memory, so it's smart and sensible to turn to songs for remembering.

I love Remus being helpful and hopeful. I love Remus. I love Remus. I love Remus. But, your story has helped me like Sirius better.

I like how the story is 'unstuck in time', but at the same time it is moving towards a conclusion, a moment, that is important and familiar to us.

It would be great if you would list the titles and other info on the songs and poems.

I wish I was a better writer so I could go on and on about how much I like this. But, I think I'm running dry.
Please know that there is someone out there praising your work.
