Beloved Puppy Enthusiasts!
Ah, Spring is upon us! And by Spring I mean autumn, and by autumn I mean nearly winter. But Spring! because shacking_up is being born anew! It’s a very exciting time and we’re all very proud. We feel there is much to be done with our little pairing, despite Remus being Tonked, poor thing, and we thought that rather than just jumping in and being crazy and making everyone cry with nerves, we should first properly introduce ourselves. Then we’ll make you cry.
Firstly, though, we must look upon glitterdemon and gaze lovingly, for she has been a faithful and gorgeous mod to us all. Unfortunately, dear JP has decided to move on. To where we are not certain, the wind carries her; she is a gemini, after all. But in her infinite wisdom, she has seen fit to leave shacking_up in the very capable hands of statelines and imochan. She’s also let me fanny about, hence this ridiculous introductory post.
To point, dear friends, shacking_up is under new management, and we are all ridiculously excited. We’ve got plans, you see. (The first being a fabulously fun Classics Week, which lovely statelines will be popping by to tell you all about at some later time.) But while there’s new captains at the helm, we wanted to assure everyone that the heart of Shacking Up will not change. We will run it in the spirit that glitterdemon intended. The community is still invite only, and we will still be hunting for quality Remus/Sirius fic to bring to you all. Recs, fic, art -- all of it is of course still welcome and we highly encourage you to post. NO ONE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE COMMUNITY.
The induction process is slightly altered, but only so much so to accommodate there being three mods instead of one. The user info will be updated with a more detailed explanation of just how that will work. The memories will also be updated, and the tags will be organised.
All in all, not much change, though if there are ANY questions, please email us at shackingup@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to be helpful.
