Err, I can't believe it's taken me so long to post in this great community. Today, I'm reccing something that I should've recced long ago.

Why this story needs to be shacked: There's no denying that OotP has altered the landscape of Remus/Sirius fic. Even the happiest, fluffiest stories seem bittersweet when you realize what will eventually happen. But Z.S. has done something impressive here--she's written a R/S story set after OotP that makes you feel good instead of miserably depressed. Reading it filled an emotional need I didn't know I had, and it comforted me in the face of Sirius's death. You'll want to believe that what happens in this fic is exactly what will happen in canon. It's not cheesy or sappy--it just feels right. Besides the feel-good aspect, though, the story is beautifully written. The imagery and the rhythm of the language flow like poetry. I believe this is Z.S.'s only R/S fic so far, but if we all put pressure on her cross our fingers, maybe she'll write more! ;)
