I've had a busy few weeks. I don't remember what my last update was(it's been so long ago), so I maybe miss/repeat myself some, but I'll do my best.

First things first, I got back from a very nice weekend in Alabama. I went there to see Jessica and to go to Missy's wedding. The ceremony was very nice, as was the reception (and the accompanying food) although I'm sorry that we had to leave early, we had to be back in Tuscaloosa by about 9.

I also started working at UPS this past week. I did 4 days of "training" and one day of actual work (Friday). It is going to be a fairly physical job (as one could expect from 3-5 hours of lifting boxes ranging from 1-100+ lbs.) but also not to mentally taxing, which will be a nice break from school/practice. One nice thing is that at least until I get conditioned to the job I won't be working out - which means I don't have to worry about scheduling gym time, and I get paid to excersize on the job. It does, however, stink in other ways, I have to join the teamsters union, which means admission fee/monthly dues, and they have crazy attendance policies, but overall it's a good (paying) job, and I should be able to get out of it for important things (concerts, gigs, etc.). The biggest problem will come in Nov/Dec, which is the "rush period", when they don't let ANYONE have any breaks. but that's not here yet.

Also, my check made it safely to Germany, and my new horn has (I assume) started to take form. I should recieve an email in a few weeks about its progress/delivery date. I am very excited and very ready for it.

This semester is almost over. I have my last day of classes and a paper due tomorrow, then a Reading Day (oh how I used to take Dead Week for granted), my jury on Wednesday (I haven't touched a horn today), Orch. final on Thursday, and next week a presentation on my paper I turn in tomorrow and a Brass methods final at an unknown time.

Then all I get to do is practice, work, and repeat. Although it would be nice to have *some* vacation. I may try to "invent" a family trip, and use that week to do some visiting. I will have to look into that.
