weekend
Friday:
- busy work day (a welcome change of pace and new challenges, even if it includes some frustration)
- wasted evening playing StarCraft II because I couldn't get ahold of anyone (and frustrated to learn later that this was because my phone wasn't working properly and needed to be reset... boo)
Saturday:
- Denise and Adeem's wedding day (Liz was a bridesmaid)
- got a ride to Pickering to grab my car which was left outside Denise's house
- drove to the hotel in Scarborough to check in - Holiday Inn Express? always awesome
- drove to the wedding at a country club - SUPER awkward to be at a wedding where you don't know anyone except for a couple people in the wedding party (who are otherwise occupied)
- beautiful outdoor ceremony on a sunny day - Adeem is a music dude, so there was some pretty sweet soul music before the ceremony and as the groomsmen and parents came in
- cocktails immediately following - finally got to hang out with Liz, who looked great
- dinner after cocktails - got sat with cousins, that was okay 'cause they were cool
- had a LOT of wine (only 2 of 7 of us at the table liked wine, and during dinner that's all that there was, so my tablemates hooked us up and all ASKED for wine and just swapped with us)
- DJ was fucking great, and pretty much all of the groomsmen were dancers, so the dance floor was hoppin' the whole time
- it was pretty much as good as a wedding could be without knowing anyone and being sat with my back to Liz (who was at the head table)
Sunday:
- super hungover, slept in, missed free breakfast at hotel to the annoyance of Liz
- eventually when we made it home, had lunch at Cora with Zamin and Melissa (that place is expensive but delicious)
- napped
- bought a bunch of Mill St. beer (really in to that brewery right now)
- had a great pasta dinner at Mike and Anita's
- Facebook surfed pictures with Liz
- early bed time for a massive amount of sleep
