weekend
Friday:
- After scouring Blockbuster for a LONG time, finding no reasonable family-friendly releases, we rented Alice in Wonderland (Disney version) and watched it at at Mike and Anita's. That movie is delightfully bizarre. The kids found it a little too weird and scary. I loved it, though I think the finale with the cards is the worst and least visually interesting part.
Saturday:
- Another advanced karate class full of kata... I love kata, but man... very difficult stuff. Taxes the mind and the body.
- Went to Hamilton to visit Ananda. His condo is rad. He cooked us an awesome dinner (shrimp and baked brie appetizers, and fish (salmon?) dinner with perfectly made veggies and baked potato). We went out for a couple drinks after.
Sunday:
- Slept in a bit, got brunch with Ananda, drove home.
- Sat through a choral concert.
- Played New Super Mario Bros Wii with Liz - totally frickin' awesome. They might as well have called this Super Mario Bros 4. It's pretty tough too.
- Caught up on some of our TV shows.
