weekend

Friday:

Queensmount Oktoberfest with Liz, Tony, Erich, Emma, Ananda, Alicia, and Felicity. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up.

Saturday:

Nursed a hangover while we ran around town shopping for stuff for the scalloped potatoes and spinach dishes we had to bring to various Thanksgivings. Saw Mr. Koegler at Stemmler's. Ran into Liz's cousin at Zehrs.

At night, Alpine Oktoberfest with my parents and Mike and Anita. It seemed to be a German club that Germans go to. Very chill, but very fun. Great food, great beer (discovered Creemore urBock, which made up for there not being any draft beer), and entertaining German dancers.

Sunday:

Many hours spent on a ridiculous amount of scalloped potatoes.
Much time spent preparing a ton of spinach.
Short amount of time BBQing some turkey breasts.

Thanksgiving dinner at Liz's mum's place with her family plus my family (including my uncle, aunt and Arunav). Liz's mum just got the cutest puppy I've ever seen, so we ended up playing with Bob the dog most of the night (until he got tired and slept). He's 7 weeks old and TINY.

Monday:

Took Arunav (my little cousin) with us to the Thanksgiving parade with Mike, Anita, and the kids. It was super-cold, but the parade was cool. We saw the dancers from the Alpine club on Saturday night, and a WCI electric car, and some cool marching bands.

I finished Half-Life 2: Episode One in the afternoon and played some Arkham Asylum.

Dinner at Mike and Anita's in the evening, featuring a giant delicious turkey and a plethora of sides. Mmm.
