Pushing towards oversaturation
So I'm intimately familiar with Revolver, I know what I like on the White Album, I think Past Masters Vol. 2 is a really cool collection, and I think Past Masters Vol. 1 sounds a bit dated.
I figured it's time to jump into a little more Beatles. I really like Sgt. Pepper, but Liz owns the old version, so I passed on that for now.
I love Revolver, and Liz's friend Mike suggested Rubber Soul was the most similar to it. It's the album that came out before Revolver. It also has the fewest recognizable hits, so I thought it would be cool to go in "fresh" to something.
I also got Abbey Road because I have a gigantic framed Abbey Road poster that my friend Paul gave to us for our wedding, and I'd feel like a tool having the poster up without owning the album. It's also the album with "I Want You", which is pure progressive rock awesomeness.
