I love TF2 again.
I still think the achievements were a bad idea, but they are at least listening to us.
They bumped down the number you need to get to unlock the new weapons. This was key. The blutsauger and kritzkreig no longer seem out of reach.
The Pyro achievements look interesting. I don't think I'm going to kill myself over getting them, though the flare gun seems cool (a solution to the Pyro's unfortunate short range).

EB Games actually had a good sale. I almost picked up Unreal Tournament III for PC for $10, but then I realized that there's no point in having a non-TF2 PC multiplayer shooter. I got Liz Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games for Wii.
Anyway, I saw Penumbra: Overture (a PC first-person physics-puzzle based horror adventure that has no guns) for under $10 sitting on a shelf. I thought to myself I am pretty sure I read a review that gave this game an A- and said it was a unique refreshing experience. I got the game and went home to check that it was the same game I was thinking of.
It turns out, the game I was thinking of was the sequel, Penumbra: Black Plague. I was a little disappointed since now I had to play through the poorly rated Overture and still buy Black Plague later.
This morning before work, I opened up the box to take a look at the disc.
A manual for Penumbra: Overture fell out.
A manual for Penumbra: Black Plague also fell out. (wtf?)
I pull out the CD. The game inside the sleeve? Penumbra: Black Plague.
What an awesome packaging error.
