I was reading about Guitar Hero III. They announced a few new tracks. Among them was the track that ensured I would actually get this game: Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden.
A band requested for GH for a while was Dragonforce. It's total 80's cheese metal popular because the guitarists play fast enough to approach light speed. They will finally be on GHIII. I decided to see if I could find a stream of Through the Fire and the Flames, the Dragonforce track, just to see how obscene it would be to press buttons that fast.
In listening to the track, the impossible happened...
...I'm almost ashamed to admit it...
...I like a Dragonforce song.
It reminds me of the fun I had being 12 years old and listening to old Bon Jovi records. As over the top and unflatteringly ridiculous as most 80s metal was, those bands knew how to come up with some catchy melodies and riffs!
