Someone in my office was very kind and thought to bring me some homemade tea. What she did not mention is that it is based from a black tea = caffeine and now my heart is racing after only one little sip. Frick. Well, it was kind of her to think of me anyways.
This weekend.... it flew by quickly! It sure was interesting though. Last Wed our power went out due to the crazy storms. So it has been interesting trying to do everything in the dark. There is wax spilled all over the place too. Friday after work I wanted to not sit in the dark so I went to Walmart then met Maryann & Chad for dinner at Macaroni Grill. Such good food! Opera man was there, he was not nearly as funny as Adam Sandler. Actually, he got quite annoying after a while. His job was to go around and serenade tables as they ate. I think what summed it all up about this guy when he went to go sing at a table with all old people - they all gave him a look of "I think he is singing but thankfully I can't hear so well". I wanted to bean him with our bread, but we ate it all :)
Saturday was Body Pump in the morning - always entertaining :-) Then off to an all-day wedding. Our pastor's son got married and boy what a party they threw! There was close to 700 people there (both families were pastors and they new everybody). It was a gorgeous Irish-themed wedding. The food was fantastic, the decor was so cool, and the Irish band for the reception was so much fun. Niki and I got to hang out for a while and talk about her wedding comeing up too. New Year's Eve is coming up sooner than we thought! 90 days! That's like a Target return time limit - sheesh! I gotta get crackin on this dress purchase yikes....... Speaking of purchasing, I've gotten scolded that I need to go talk to a mortgage person asap to get things moving. Time for me to move into brokesville, but at least it will be my own home in brokesville, right?!
Well, the wedding ended early, but it was a tiring day. Came back home that night to power in our house so that made for more excitement! Sunday.... yay the Vikes actually won!! After church I took an old church friend out to see my brother's new house then came home and quick cooked dip for my old school's reunion. That's right, I said reunion! They never were conventional at that school, 6 year mark is an odd time to have a reunion, but man was it fun. I walked into the house and it was like a blast from the past.... only now most people are married or engaged. A few had kids, one had one on the way. Surprisingly a lot of people have moved away to southern places. So many old faces, some changed, most did not. Crazy times man. I think I was one of the only 5 single girls left - we all bonded :) There were a few single guys left, but not any of the good ones :( Oh well! I got there at 2 and stayed till about 9. People were drinking and were just so relaxed it was great to get to talk and see what they've been up to. It was always a small class (private school, that's why) no more than 30-35 people, about 20 or so showed up. My face hurt from smiling so much!
Ah, back to boring old work day today. *sigh* maybe I'll look over my pathetic finances to see how broke I'm gonna be, oy. It sucks sometimes working in payroll and seeing what other people around you make..... some who are doing the same job as me but because they are in a different dept are making $4k more than me a year is just not fair. But of course you can't bring that up cause your not supposed to be snooping at that sort of stuff. Grrrr. After my sip of caffeine wears off it will be time for my nap anyways :-)
