Weird family history

My father is quite the archer. I took lessons through YMCA with my brother growing up. It was fun and my brother actually won a Junior Olympics tournament. They didn't have one for my age group at that time. It would have been fun to compete. I am very good at grouping arrows together even if I don't hit the center.

Well my mom told me tonight that my dad actually had a bow signed by William Shatner. Apparently he came to one of my dad's competitions. My dad was the top rated archer in Texas when he was in high school. My dad sold the bow because he's not the sentimental type. Too bad because that would be an awesome thing to have.

Another odd thing, we used to practice archery in our backyard and shoot at a three dimensional headless (I don't know where it went) deer target. He's also a hunter though hasn't hunted in years.

My mom just told me he was very cool but to not tell him I said that. Parents are funny.
