For Seshat and Hatusu - why I shot my husband and what is PINBAT?

Why I shot him - I've always been against guns, the kids have never been allowed any toy guns or swords or anything. Silly lazer guns are different but they've never had anything that looks like a real gun. Anyway, all Adam's pals had spud (potato) guns, BB guns, pellet guns and the like but they all knew not to bring them to the house. One day I was changing his bed and found a BB gun and a clip full of ammo. So I showed hubbs and he said I was over-reacting, it couldn't hurt anyone, he'd had one, blah blah. So I went and got the gun and shot him in the stomach. Whoops, but it made my point - it hurt very much and they are dangerous.
PINBAT - are a group where I live who are campaigning against a proposed new supermarket. Remember I told you at Xmas that I had to drive over 20 miles to get to a decent supermarket? Well they want to build one nearby me which the majority of people support, I mean there is nowhere to shop here! This town has doubled in size in the last ten years and while they are prepared to sell land for houses generating massive profits, they wont build the amenities for its residents. Its okay for people who have cars and can go elsewhere to shop. Anyway, the supermarket is to be built opposite a pretty expensive development of houses and they are worried it will lower the value of their properties. Not very likely - this town is officially the most expensive place to buy a house in Scotland. Rant over.
