I have some daily disposables, but find that my eyesight isn't quite there. Legally I'm ok to drive, but never quite felt right.

Dailies are much better than monthlies as my eyes tend to start to put a layer of protein down within minutes, must give them another try.

Hmm, I dug out my daily disposables, and their prescription is much milder than my glasses prescription.

A quick look on line shows that the same manufacturer does go up to my prescription, so a visit to the opticians is due I feel!

Do get your eyes checked with the contacts properly by an optician. The contact prescription may be different to the glasses prescription. I know mine is. My contact lenses are about 0.5 weaker than the glasses prescription.

Still as has been said before you've almost perfect eyesight! at -5.75 (mine is not quite twice that at it's worst).

And have an enjoyable friday not at work to relax with as well.

H i Phil!

I called the optician, the contacts at -3.75/-3.50 are correct, as you say, quite some difference, but there you go. The optician took several attempts with may different brands to get to the level that these provide. Maybe the progress with lens technology will outstrip the deterioration in my eyes.

They even confirmed that I would be ok to drive in them, but that may take some getting used to.

(must resist looking up laser treatment again ;o) )
