The car isn't that big, but it does have a 2.5 engine. I'm in favour of the polluter paying, in general, but what annoys me slightly is that the higher rates are being applied after I made the decision what to buy two years ago. Retrospective law is bad law...
that does seem unfair, it's not like you can go back & change your mind!
I'm annoyed that the 25yr cutoff for Tax exemption has not been extended. The Wee B missed it by days (we even checked the date it rolled off the assebly line)
£400? yikes! How big is your car, mine was £120 for the year!

There is always the option of selling a car which proves expensive on tax and replacing it with something more environmentally friendly.
