let me tell you about it:
front row. closest to the stage as we could be. happy. a little chilly. kinda sunny. first band... damnit who were they... rogue wave: okay. second band: gomez (were they second?) rad. i think i will perchace some tunes legally. thrid: sufjan stevans. didnt dig it. was expecting more. got less... and an american flag. forth: iron and wine. amazing. expected a lot. got more. during the trapeze singer (his last song) it was sunny and started to rain these amazing big drops. it was beautiful. fifth: niko case. started out good... but then:
it started to fucking hail. so hard. at first, it was just amazing and spontanious and funny... but it just kept coming and we were getting wetter and wetter.
so we missed the shins, ben harper and sadly enough the flaming lips. damnit. the flaming lips are playing in bend, oregon as we speak. i wish i was there. damnit.
but ya know, it was way better than being around here for memorial day weekend. this town is full of sluts and rich bastards.
