Uffington horse

It would be lovely if some of you could help me with this. Does anyone of you know whether there arefolktales or nursery-rhymes or songs regarding the Uffington horse or any of the other white hill horses in England?

Also, can anyone tell me a bit about the countryside around the Uffington horse. On Google maps it looks rather deserted. Is that indeed the case?
