Those tears that never leave your eyes
They start as tingling in your heart
They rise by taking your breath away
Bit by bit, step by step
While you try to make sense of what's happening
By wrapping your mind around your pain
Or your joy
Or the picture of your dog who passed away
and lays in your backyard
Under the pile of your memories
Or maybe it's just your shuffle threw a song at you
That one you heard last time four years back
Where was I
Tracking your breath
Holding your tears
From birth
In my eyes
Just hold it
Do not inhale
Freeze
Do
Not
Exist

And maybe death will make another step to the next door
And tomorrow you will see your neighbor
And he will hold a shovel instead of the leash he holds this time of day
Building a pile of rotten memories at his backyard
Holding his breath
Praying these tears
Would
Never
Come
Out
