Nail Quick

Jul 24, 2005 01:31

Jesse just had his nail quick.
Has anybody ever had this procedure done to your dogs before?
It's when they cut the nails really short so when the nails grow back
the blood supply won't be as long as it was before.
Hopefully when his nails grow back, it won't be as hard to clip his nails.
The procedure was that I drop him off at the Vet at 8 am.
No food after 7pm and no water after midnight, the night before.
He'll be ready at 4pm to be picked up.
It's like a little surgery done...
Jesse go crazy everytime I try to clip his nails.
Even Pet Smart gave up on him.
He turns into a little monster.
It takes 4 people to hold him and he's only 59lbs

Last nail clip, he had to take a sedation pill.

He wasn't in pain afterwards, I thought he would be, maybe it's the pain reliever, but he moves normally the next day.

After the nail quick surgery, he managed to steal 3 bagels and stuff them all in his mouth, I wasn't fast enough to capture it.
