¡hola!

¡España es terrifico! And even if you don't know spanish, you should be able to figure that out. We had our first day of classes this morning, and I'm really exicted about mine. Basically, I've just got two 50 minute classes, with an hour break in between. Not bad, eh?

The clubs and the bars are omnipresent, and it´s great to be out somewhere when you can either walk back, or just hop on the metro (it runs 24 hrs over the weekends). We get these passes that can be used on any of the public transportation here, which totally rocks. The metro is the cleanest i have ever seen in my entire life. it's amazing. one way takes you to the a bunch of beaches. the other takes you to the university, which is about a 20 minute walk from the residence hall, or to shopping.

oh, and for those of you who didn't know, the Guggenheim is what Bilbao is most famous for, and it's right accross the street from the university. It's the wierdest thing seeing what is arguably the most famous museum in the world every day. Kinda cool at the same time.

Shopping is expensive as anything over there, and my friends and i have been trying to figure out how these spaniards afford their wardrobes. i know i couldn't. especially not with how much better the euro is doing than the dollar. but oh well, that's why i´ve been working so hard right? trying to earn spending money? heh.

anyway, hope everyone else's summer is fantastical so far, i'll try to update soon. As they say in Bilbao, ¡agur!
