(no subject)
So I haven't been online lately.
Why? Our effin dsl was acting up. ^_^
I cried, begged and prayed to the heavens for it to come back.
I tried emotionally detaching by focusing on other activities (like finally cleaning my car.)
I haunted UP trying to pick up free wifi.
I finally resorted to being unfaithful to it by holing out in an internet cafe of dubious cleanliness.
In this day and age, mahirap talaga mawalan ng internet.
I pestered the PLDT people to fix it and, after weeks of putting me off, they finally caved and sent over a repair man.
When the repair man came, he took one look at our system and burst out laughing.
"Ma'm, kaya po kayo walang internet kasi hindi po naka-plug yung dsl cable niyo. Ito po o (extrciates the neglected cable from the mass of wires that were sprawled over the table). Sinasaksak lang po ito dito sa butas (then sticks the cable in the socket). Simple lang naman po eh. Wala namang problema."
Seconds later, the dsl light on our modem flickers to life.
Hmph.
I've been living a lie and suffering in vain.
And I had to pay the repair man a tip (and he was sniggering all the while! grr grr)
