Flickr has come to be used in strange, unexpected ways. I don't visit adactio so often anymore, but years ago when I was just started to really get into CSS and associated web designy things, it was a great resource, and Jeremy was kind enough to explain to me how a part of his site is built when I wasn't able to figure it out myself.
One of my flickr photos has been shortlisted for a Shmap guide, which seems to use photos from flickr exclusively in their guides. Oh hey I just got an email saying they're using it.
