the first weekend back in lawrence seems to be getting more and more interesting as it goes on. last night a bunch of stuff happened, some of it fun, some if it scary. the fun part was the 50+ people who were outside around 1 am, sledding and having a snow ball fight. it was cool to see so many people enjoying such lovely weather. today i went and saw 'fiddler on the roof' at north. however, it was merely the dress rehearsal b/c i'll be out of town for the show. it wasnt' horrible, definitely a dress rehearsal. it's weird to go back to high school. especially returning to theatre and not recognizing over half of the people around. i felt really old.
later this evening i attended my cousin's wedding reception. i've never seen so many people in one room that looked so much alike yet were completely unrelated. teh guy my cousin married is from oklahoma, so i was expecting to see many rednecks. however, i was rather disappointed at the lack of them. they would have made the night much more entertaining. but it wasn't bad. i got to see my cousin who i hadnt' seen in about 2 years. she and my aunt are in a piercing competition. my aunt has 26, 13 in each ear. my cousin has 27, 12 in each ear, two in her bottom lip and one in her tongue. so, techinically she would win. however, my aunt says only ears count in teh race, so she's still winning. we'll see what the numbers are the next time the family gets together.
classes started and i think it's going to be a fast semester. i keep volunteering to help with more things, and my homework load will probably be about the same as last semester. i'm really excited for my psych class. i've always been interested in that subject but never had time to take the class. the teacher seems cool and very open and honest, so it should be fun. plus emily and some other girls from my floor are in it.
math 250 seems to be ok. the teacher is semi-entertaining and seems to be pretty fair about things. we'll see how the first test goes though.
well, i think i've rambled long enough. it's time to go try and find somethign to do.
