Excerpt: I think if Eli knew about the Stargate program, he would be working toward being part of it because it's fascinating, but instead he just kind of gets sucked in and has no choice but to learn as quickly as possible. To me it's very different. Maybe it's just a personal thing, but in a strange way, I look at him more like James Spader as Jackson from the original Stargate movie. Somebody who has all these ideas and is kind of looked down upon by other people, and then all of the sudden finds out that all of his dreams exist, and how is he now going to cope with that? And how is he going to find his place in this new world that exists that he never dreamed would?
