What is the possible controversy?

Young has sex with his wife while in Telford's body and the link gets severed during the act:

Here's one quote about it. I can't find the other one where he talks about swapping positions with Louis Ferreira and trying to get the positions the same.

Lou Diamond Phillips said in an interview: "I have to say, I'm also involved in one of the most interesting sex scenes ever to grace sci-fi later on in the first season. It's humourous but also mind-boggling. 'Shock factor' may be a bit of an overstatement, but I think people will be surprised at how far the creators are willing to go in this series. It's in the episode called 'Earth'. I exchange consciousness with another character, and let's just say I pop up in a very inopportune moment." (link)

Here's that other interviewQ: What cool worlds have you gotten to visit ( ... )

Ooo-kay :O
Wow, I can see where that might cause some controversy *facepalm*
That could be kind of embarrassing for all parties involved :O

I gotta say tho, I'm getting kind of sick of the communication stones, the novelty has worn off and now they're just a plot device to be pulled out whenever neccesary ;)

Yeah, it seems most of the controversy is about sex and the stones. :O (that sounds so rock'n'roll-like)

I hope there isn't another reason for the controversy -- this part of the episode will be bad enough. Although, Lou's talked about this scene in lots of interviews and I haven't seen much controversy about it. I'm wondering if there is another aspect of the episode that Lenic is referring to.

This isn't the episode where Camille and Sharon are revealed, is it?

Hmmm, I wonder if it is? That would probably cause more controversy than just more sex? :O

No, Sharon doesn't appear until "Life", episode 9.

*LOL* ok, that idea is torpedoed ;)

So Lenic will probably be tweeting again about "some (more) controversy" when Life airs! :O

Wray has more of an IOA role in this episode. I guess they didn't want to have too many sex scenes in one ep! :O

Ah well, it was a thought anyway.

I guess they had to spread out their battles with the public/fans/internet some! :O

It does make you wonder :O
I know I read those Lou interviews a while back but really didn't see the huge controversy about it then?

But, I have to say, I'm a bit sick of all the sex and shenanigans and goings on :O
PLease, just because you're an 'adult' show, doesn't mean sex is the only way to show that *d'oh*

I'm disappointed about that, too.

I'm not sure which demographic they're aiming for with all of this sex.

The 18-34 demographic is a gold mine in number. They are also the most hormone driven

All of this just seems so soap-opera-like and I can image that that is a different demo.

But, yeah, I've seen that they delight over the younger demo.

Their really is a fine line between soap opera and drama. A line a lot of people can't see.

The younger the viewers the more impulisve they are in spending money which means more profit for MGM.
