Here's some other fun facts that the list above reminded me about:
Pigs can't look straight up into the sky.
Besides the words listed in #21, there is also the word "month."
#19 says there are no clocks in casinos. There are very few windows, either. They want you to lose track of the time by not even knowing whether it's light or dark outside.
#12 reminded me that killer whales are not whales at all. They are in the dolphin family. Just like panda bears are not bears at all; they are most closely related to raccoons.
It's illegal to own the stuff that U.S. dollars are made out of (whatever special paper/cotton it is) for fear of counterfeiting.
#11 says that chocolate will kill dogs, but did you know that white chocolate is completely harmless to them? It has something to do with a certain chemical that is only in non-white chocolate. You know what else will be poisonous to dogs? Grapes, especially when ingested quickly in large quantities. It gives them kidney damage.
#4 reminded me that cranberries are tested for freshness because they bounce like basketballs when they are ripe.
Look at the D. The center of it is shaped like a hammer, and the letter itself looks like a vice.

responding to nick and you at the same time: Nick - you never saw the hammer before? hmm... and Chris - is it meant to look like a vice or is that just a coincidence...
