Well, it's over. The past two days have been essentially nothing but the play, Fools, and it went spectacularly.
On Saturday, the play went very well, and afterwards essentially the whole cast, plus Jon, Jimmy, Neil, Katie V, and Laura Moye went to IHOP, in true tradition. It was great, except the 9th graders were obnoxiously loud, and Carter seems to not be able to know when to not say certain things (he yelled 'What the hell, all the black people and old people are looking at me' when there were indeed elderly and African Americans in the room, not neccessarily looking at him). Because of my mom and her following those crazy curfew laws, I couldn't get a ride home with Jon, so my dad had to pick me up. Awesome.
Today, the play went even better, so I'm told, though it had a bittersweet ending; it was good to be over with, though obviously this is my last play of high school... the turnout for both nights wasn't spectacular (maybe a third of the auditorium filled), but it got some good laughs, even on Sunday (Sundays are notorious for having dead audiences).
Afterwards was the cast party, and the striking of the set. If you aren't a drama person, this just means taking down the entire set, and then eating pizza and cake. Overall, a very fun experience.
Tomorrow is going to start off on either an awesome note or a very bad note; the Jazz Band is performing for WVEC (the local ABC affiliate), for their morning show. We are going to play at 5:50 and 6:50. This means that we have to be at school at 5. This means I have to wake up at 4:15. And perform in front of several thousand people. Its not neccessarily me I'm worried about, but more the rest of the band. If you didn't know, the sax section is generally excellent, but the rest need tons of work (with a few exceptions, such as Geoff).
Speaking of Geoff, today he was awarded by CHCS drama a silver hammer autographed by the cast, for his gajillion years of hard work of being a techie. We got him a plaque, but it wasnt here, so I just had to write it out on a poster board.
Also, I have one more significant event in my senior year, and after that, I can officially just stop caring (Not that I havent already, but meh. I also just noticed I use a lot of parenthesees.)
This event:
THE CHCS JAZZ JAM. This Wednesday, at 7 PM in the auditorium. It's my last jazz concert, so pleaasee come to support it; it is going to be awesome!
Only 10 days... when tomorrow is done, it's going to be 9. I can't even begin to fathom that fact -- the fact that we have a single-digit amount of days until we're gone. I believe that my 'current music' is appropriate.
edit: I fixed my friends page from breaking. Turns out all the quizzes Pankti took at once overloaded the HTML and blew things up. I have temporarily taken her off my friends list. It's nothing personal at all (<3 ya guuurrrlll), but for the sake of not blowing up the livejournal. I suspect in about a week it'll be back to normal.
